What is the Chapter Neighborhood™?
The Hispanic Initiative developed a dynamic and vibrant Spanish-language Web site that appeals to the Hispanic community. This new site www.cruzrojaamericana.org went live on August 15, 2005 and, in less than two months, the number of visitors accessing Spanish-language materials increased over 300 percent.
To leverage this investment, the Hispanic Initiative and FNGWeb developed a system that allows your chapter to have its own, chapter-specific, English & Spanish-language Web site in less than 24 hours.
NHQ has carefully considered the needs of its Local Chapters in developing this resource. National economies of scale have been leveraged in order to provide every Local Chapter the opportunity to harness the power of a centrally and professionally-supported world-class website at a fraction of the cost.
Your "private label" Web sites come pre-loaded with content and contains sections that are updated in real-time every time the NHQ team in Washington performs their regular updates on the main Web site.
In addition to leveraging all of the generic national content from NHQ, and being able to set up your site to automatically update with content from NHQ, you’ll also be able to participate in a fully-indexed, easy-to-use national lending library full of images, articles, courses and other types of content.
It used to take hours, or even days for your webmaster to re-design your chapter’s homepage in response to critical events that often change people’s lives in an instant. The next time something happens that affects your local community – good or bad – you can literally press a button and convert your entire website to respond. And when it’s over, press another button and convert back to the look & feel of your Chapter’s regular non-emergency website.
Need to issue a press release, or want to entice your local media to run an important story? By becoming part of the Chapter Neighborhood you can search the lending library under any number of press releases or news article subjects to find one that fits your situation, or at least comes close enough to cut your work in half. Plus you can find images to accompany your press releases and news stories to capture the readers’ attention and maximize the chances of your news release or stories getting the attention they deserves.
Have an announcement or a course that you would really like to promote to Spanish-speakers in your community? With the Chapter Neighborhood you now have access to professional trans-cultural translators at just a fraction of the cost.
Customize the look and feel of your website, publish content in a snap when you need it most, delegate content management functions to different members of your team in small bite-size pieces so you’re never-again dependent on anyone, update your local website with hardly any technical knowledge in a WYSIWG environment. Automatically maintain an audit trail of all changes and enjoy a fully-integrated set of just-in-time animated tutorials, technical support and training…all at a fraction of the cost of what you would otherwise pay a third-party vendor to build and maintain a website with only a few of the powerful tools and features that you’ll get when you participate in the Chapter Neighborhood.
